I'm in Jesus' flock

I had a friend ask me about the sin in the garden. So I was nudged into do this study. I want to begin with God telling Adam and Eve not to eat the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil which is in the midst of the Garden of Eden. Lets go to Gen. 3:3 and it reads:

Gen 3:3
3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

Here we have the very first commandment Father ever gave. Keep in mind the Ten Commandments have not yet been given to us. Adam and Eve were told not to partake of the fruit of the tree in the midst of the garden lest they die. So the sin in the garden was disobedience. They disobeyed God by doing what he told them not to do. They listened to the serpent. We are not to be deceived by listening to Satans lies. He twists the truth with subtlety. Making such small changes in the word that it is not easily noticed except by those who have read and studied our Fathers word. In some cases he has stated out right lies.

Gen 3:4-5
4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

The serpent told Eve that she would not die, but gain knowledge and be like a god knowing good and evil. But! God told them that in the day they ate the fruit of this tree they would die. Lets document what a day is with God so that Adam's not dying in that instant causes no confusion with this statement.

2 Pet 3:8
8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

Gen 5:5
5 And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died.

Adam died 60 years short of a 1000 years. Back to the subject:

6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

Note here that Eve saw that it was a tree to be desired to make one wise, knowledgeable and in her deception also got Adam to listen to the lies of the serpent. Lets try to clarify the meaning of the word fruit as it is used in these verses.

Hosea 10:13
13 Ye have plowed wickedness, ye have reaped iniquity; ye have eaten the fruit of lies: because thou didst trust in thy way, in the multitude of thy mighty men.

This verse plainly stated the fruit God is talking about is lies. Lets find more on this subject.

Matt 7:20
20
Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Matt 12:33-37
33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.
34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Note these verses carefully! Your fruit, words, is what comes out of your mouth! Do you produce good or bad fruit? Do lies come from your mouth? Or do you speak Gods truth? Remember, we are all judged by our fruit. Back to the subject of disobedience.

Gen 3:11
11 And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?

This verse shows us that the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was a somebody, not a tree. God asked "Who told the thou wast naked?" This who is the serpent in the garden.

Gen 3:13-14
13 And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.

What is it she did? The serpent completely seduced her into disobeying Father.

14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

Here God is telling the serpent (Lucifer, Satan, who is also the tree of the knowledge of good, and evil, etc) that he is lower than a snakes belly because of telling lies to Eve causing her to disobey God. Let's get some background on who the serpent in the garden is so that there is no doubt about his identity. Go to Rev.12:9.

Rev 12:9
9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Rev 20:2-3
2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

So as you can see Satan is called the serpent and the deceiver by our Father. We being our Fathers fruit, children, plant the seeds of His truth. The seeds of the offspring of Satan (Cain/Kenites) plant his lies.

Strongs word for seed:
OT:2233 zera` (zeh'-rah); from OT:2232; seed; figuratively, fruit, plant, sowing-time, posterity:
KJV-X carnally, child, fruitful, seed (-time), sowingtime.

Now lets document the use of the word beguiled.

2 Cor 11:3
3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

I can't help but add here that God is also giving us proof that the mutiudes will not be able to understand the word of God. That the simplicity of the WORD is being corrupted by those that teach God's word. The worst part is that most of them don't even know they can't understand it. But there are also good teachers out there. (Let them that have ears....)

In Matt. 13 Christ tells us who the good seeds are and who the bad seeds are, lets go
there:

Matt. 13: 37-38
37 He answered and said unto them,
He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;

Satan sowed his first-seed (fruit) in the garden. Here the wheat represents the children, the good seed, of Christ. The tares are seeds of Satan, the wicked one. Remember that we are the seeds of God and what we teach is the fruit by which we are judged. Lets go to John:

John 8:42 & 44
42 Jesus said unto them,
If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Christ clearly states here that Satan is a liar and has been from the start. I hope this sheds a little light on the subject of the sin in the garden and drives some of you a little deeper into the true word of our Father YHVH.
