CHAPTER 11

    Rev 11:1-19
    1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.

    Let's look at the definition of the words "reed & rod" in the Strong's and the Thayer's:

    Strong's:
    2563 kalamos (kal'-am-os);
    or uncertain affinity; a reed (the plant or its stem, or that of a similar plant); by implication, a pen:
    KJV-- pen, reed.

    Thayer's:
    2563 kalamos-
    1) a reed
    2) a staff made of a reed, a reed staff
    3) a measuring reed or rod
    4) a writer's reed, a pen

    I think we can safely say this "reed" is a writing device. In the KJV Companion Study Bible done by Bullinger, the notes say this measuring "reed" is like a scepter and measures for destruction, not for building and refers you to Lam. 2:8-9. Now let's go there.

    Lam 2:8-9
    8 The LORD hath purposed to destroy the wall of the daughter of Zion: he hath stretched out a line, he hath not withdrawn his hand from destroying: therefore he made the rampart and the wall to lament; they languished together.
    9 Her gates are sunk into the ground; he hath destroyed and broken her bars: her king and her princes are among the Gentiles: the law is no more; her prophets also find no vision from the LORD.

    Also, let's look at Revelation 21:15-16.

    Rev 21:15-16
    15 And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.
    16 And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.

    In Revelation 21 we see the positive side of the reed. For every negative there is a positive. Bullinger was correct in saying that this reed was not for building but for destroying the fake temple of the anti-christ. Now let's look at the word rod.

    Strong's:
    4464 rhabdos (hrab'-dos);
    from the base of 4474; a stick or wand (as a cudgel, a cane or a baton of royalty):
    KJV-- rod, sceptre, staff.

    Thayer's:
    4464 rhabdos-
    1) a staff, a walking stick, a twig, a rod, a branch
    2) a rod with which one is beaten
    3) a staff
    a) as used on a journey, or to lean upon, or by shepherds
    b) when applied to kings
    1) with a rod of iron, indicates the severest, most rigorous rule
    2) a royal scepter

    Companion Bible notes: rod=sceptre

    Let's remember that on the return of our LORD, He is coming back to beat things straight with a rod of iron. Rod=correction from our Father.

    The word "stood" the text omits.
    The word "Rise" only appears here in Revelation.
    Now let's look in the Strong's and the Thayer's at the word "temple".

    Strong's:
    3485 naos (nah-os');
    from a primary naio (to dwell); a fane, shrine, temple
    KJV-- shrine, temple. Comp 2411.

    Thayer's:
    3485 naos-
    used of the temple at Jerusalem, but only of the sacred edifice (or sanctuary) itself, consisting of the Holy place and the Holy of Holies (in Classical Greek it is used of the sanctuary or cell of the temple, where the image of gold was placed which is distinguished from the whole enclosure)

    Now let's look at some scripture that pertains to this word "temple". Rev. 3:12 and Matt. 23:16.

    Rev 3:12
    12
    Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

    Matt 23:16-17
    16
    Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor!
    17 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold?

    Here we have another example of the positive and the negative sides of the same word. Now lets look at the word "therein".

    Therein=in

    In the Strongs the definition for therein:

    Strong's:
    1722 en (en);
    a primary preposition denoting (fixed) position (in place, time or state), and (by implication) instrumentality (medially or constructively), i.e. a relation of rest (intermediate between 1519 and 1537); "in," at, (up-) on, by, etc.:
    KJV-- about, after, against, + almost, X altogether, among, X as, at, before, between, (here-) by (+all means), for (... sake of), + giveself wholly to, (here-) in (-to, -wardly), X mightily, (because) of, (up-) on, [openly-], X outwardly, one, X quickly, X shortly, [speedily-], X that, X there (-in, -on), through (-out), (un-) to (-ward), under, when, where (-with), while, with (-in). Often used in compounds, with substantially the same import; rarely with verbs of motion, and then not to indicate direction, except (elliptically) by a separate (and different) preposition.

    From my understanding of what I have read and researched using the KJV Companion Bible, The Strong's Concordance and Thayer's definitions, Rev. 11:1 is telling us that the angel instructed John to measure the temple and the alter and those that are in the temple of the anti-christ. Remember we are still in the 6th trump. Paul tells us in II Thes. 2:4, what is going to be happening in this temple during this time period. Let's go there.

    II Thes. 2:4
    4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

    Rev.11:2
    2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

    Strong's definition for without:
    1855 exothen (ex'-o-then);
    from 1854; external (-ly):
    KJV-- out (-side, -ward, -wardly), (from) without.

    Thayer's:
    1854 exo (ex'-o);
    adverb from 1537; out (-side, of doors), literally or figuratively:
    KJV-- away, forth, (with-) out (of, -ward), strange.

    Without=outside

    Now let's look at the word "leave" in the Strong's.

    Strong's:
    1544 ekballo (ek-bal'-lo);
    from 1537 and 906; to eject (literally or figuratively):
    KJV-- bring forth, cast (forth, out), drive (out), expel, leave, pluck (pull, take, thrust) out, put forth (out), send away (forth, out).

    906 ballo (bal'-lo);
    a primary verb; to throw (in various applications, more or less violent or intense):
    KJV-- arise, cast (out), X dung, lay, lie, pour, put (up), send, strike, throw (down), thrust. Compare 4496.

    Leave=cast out

    Let's look at the word Gentiles:

    Strong's:
    1484 ethnos (eth'-nos);
    probably from 1486; a race (as of the same habit), i.e. a tribe; specially, a foreign (non-Jewish) one (usually by implication, pagan):
    KJV-- Gentile, heathen, nation, people.

    Thayer's:
    1484 ethnos-
    1) a multitude (whether of men or of beasts) associated or living together;
    a company, a troop, a swarm
    2) a multitude of individuals of the same nature or genus,
    the human race
    3) a race, a nation, a people, a group
    4) in the Old Testament, foreign nations not worshiping the true God, pagans, Gentiles
    5) Paul uses the term for Gentile (non-Jewish) Christians

    The word "gentiles" means nations. I think we can see in verse 2 that we are talking about when the whole world (meaning all races, nations, tongues or rather languages) gathers around Jerusalem both physically and spiritually to worship the false christ. At the end of verse 2 we have a time frame of 42 moons/months. We definitely know that we are talking about the children of the night. We can also say that this time frame has been shortened for the elects sake to a time period of 5 months. You can read more about this shortening in Mark 13:20 and Revelation 9:5-10.

    Rev.11:3-4
    3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
    4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.

    The 2 olive trees and the 2 candlesticks in verse 4 represent the 2 witnesses. Let's document this from the OT by going to Zechariah 4:11-14 for a closer look at the sons of Oil.

    Zech 4:11-14
    11 Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof?
    12 And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves?
    13 And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.
    14 Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the LORD of the whole earth.

    You should also notice in verse 3 of Rev. 11 that we have a time period of 1260 days. Because this time frame is given to us in days instead of moons we are talking about children of the light. Another note to take consideration of is that the 1260 days would be longer by 10 days than the 42 moons mentioned in verse 2. The solar calendar is much more accurate than the lunar one we live by today. As modern day Christians, we should be as children of the light and go by the solar calendar. In most cases where you see moons or months in the bible the subject is dealing with prophecy about Satan and his followers and/or his children. On the other hand, in most cases, when you see light or day/sun the subject is dealing with prophecy of our Father and His children and/or followers of the true Christ.

    Rev.11:5
    5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.

    any man = anyone

    This is talking about anyone trying to hurt the 2 witnesses. The fire that proceeds from their mouth is the truth of God's word and that truth devours false teachings. Hence the gentiles joy at the death of the 2 witnesses, which we will read about in the next few verses.

    Rev.11:6
    6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.

    While the 2 witnesses are here witnessing against the anti-christ and all his power, if they want it to not rain then GOD will make it so. Just to prove that they are representatives of HIM. Just as GOD did for Moses and Aaron in the time that the children were in bondage to Egypt. In fact that was a fine example of what is to come.

    Rev.11:7
    7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

    Satan finally gets mad enough to kill the 2 witnesses.

    Rev.11:8
    8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

    Sodom and Egypt are symbolic of the city of Jerusalem. The word "street" means a wide place or rather an arena. Lets better define the word street:

    Strong's:
    4113 plateia (plat-i'-ah);
    feminine of 4116; a wide "plat" or "place", i.e. open square:
    KJV-- street.

    Thayer's:
    4113 plateia-
    a broad way, a street

    Rev.11:9
    9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.

    They are going to be left there to decompose where they fall in plain site of everyone. This way no one can say that their bodies where removed from the grave when they rise 3 1/2 days after they are killed. If you remember there where those who tried to claim that Christ's body was taken away in the night.

    Rev.11:10
    10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.

    Those that have taken the mark of the beast will be just tickled pink that these 2; who have taught against Satan and his doctrine, have been killed. The 2 witnesses are not longer a threat to their fake salvation. But for those who have the seal of GOD this verse says "alright"! Jesus will be here in 3 1/2 days! It is a day we look forward to! At this point we are no longer going by faith but by fact! Amen! The next verse documents this fact.

    Rev.11:11
    11 And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.

    The same breath of life that God breathed into Adam. The Ruwach, the Holy Spirit of our Father!

    Strong's:
    7307 ruwach (roo'-akh);
    from 7306; wind; by resemblance breath, i.e. a sensible (or even violent) exhalation; figuratively, life, anger, unsubstantiality; by extension, a region of the sky; by resemblance spirit, but only of a rational being (including its expression and functions):
    KJV-- air, anger, blast, breath, X cool, courage, mind, X quarter, X side, spirit ([-ual]), tempest, X vain, ([whirl-]) wind (-y).

    Thayer's:
    7307 ruwach-
    a wind, breath, a mind, a spirit
    a) breath
    b) a wind
    1) used of heaven
    2) a quarter (used of the wind), a side
    3) a breath of air
    4) air, gas
    5) vain, an empty thing
    c) spirit (as what breathes quickly in animation or agitation)
    1) spirit, animation, vivacity, vigor
    2) courage
    3) temper, anger
    4) impatience, patience
    5) spirit, disposition (as troubled, bitter, discontented)
    6) disposition (used of various kinds), unaccountable or uncontrollable impulse
    7) prophetic spirit
    d) spirit (used of the living, breathing being in man and animals); as gift, preserved by God, God's spirit, departing at death, a disembodied being
    e) the spirit (as the seat of emotion)
    1) desire
    2) sorrow, trouble
    f) the spirit
    1) as the seat or organ of mental acts
    2) rarely used of the will
    3) as the seat (especially) of moral character
    g) the Spirit of God
    1) as an inspiring ecstatic state of prophecy
    2) as an impelling prophet to utter instruction or a warning
    3) imparting a war-like energy and executive and administrative power
    4) as endowing men with various gifts
    5) as an energy of life
    6) an ancient angel and later the Shekinah

    Rev.11:12
    12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.

    God speaks and they rise into the sky while everyone watches. They ascend the same way Christ did.

    Rev.11-:13
    13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.

    These 7000 that are slain are the fallen angels that followed Satan before and left their place of habitation to mate with flesh woman. Those that have the mark of the beast are terrified at the site of the 2 witnesses rising to meet Christ in the clouds.

    Rev.11:14
    14 The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.

    Be good watchmen and really pay attention to what it says in verse 14! THE 3RD WOE COMETH QUICKLY! There are those who like to try to teach that there is a short lapse in the time line here, that there is more time between the 2nd and 3rd woe. But be careful dear brothers and sisters that you be not deceived. Stay in Father's word and study for yourself that ye be found worthy.

    Rev.11:15
    15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

    At the return of the true Christ, the 7th trump, all knees will bow! No one will have a choice. Christ will swing a mean rod of iron and beat them to their knees if necessary.

    Rev.11:16-17
    16 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,
    17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.

    I think at this time we that have overcome the beast, the image of the beast and the mark of the beast will be singing the song of Moses as it is written Rev. 15:2-3. Lets go there.

    Rev 15:2-3
    2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.
    3 And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.

    We're not going to go there but it would be wise if you were go to Deut. 32 and read the song of Moses.

    Rev.11:18
    18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

    It doesn't matter if the nations are angry or not, they will still bow to the King of Kings. This is when the judgment of the first resurrection takes place and the LORDS day begins.

    Rev.11:19
    19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

    The temple of God is open and the one that paid the price for us, sits on the right hand of our Father and executes judgment on all nations. There are more details of this in Rev.16. Lets go there.

    Rev 16:17-18
    17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.
    18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.

    I know that chapter 11 has been a long time in coming. I have no excuse except that I have gotten lazy. I hope you enjoy this study, it won't take me near as long to do chapter 12.

CHAPTER 12

    Rev.12:1
    1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:

    Let's look the word wonder:

    Strong's definition for wonder:
    4592 semeion (say-mi'-on);
    neuter of a presumed derivative of the base of 4591; an indication, especially ceremonially or supernaturally:
    KJV-- miracle, sign, token, wonder.

    4591 semaino (say-mah'-ee-no);
    from sema (a mark; of uncertain derivation); to indicate:
    KJV-- signify.

    Gen 1:14
    14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

    Now we know that God put the stars in the heavens for signs. The Zodiac can tell you the plan of God's word as He meant us to know it. What John was looking at here was the zodiacal sign of Virgo, The Virgin. She is Mother Israel and the Crown of 12 stars represents the 12 tribes of Israel.

    Rev.12:2
    2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.

    The promise of the coming of the Messiah as it is written in the heavens under the sign of Virgo and a sign of a new age. And the reason why we have to go through this flesh age is written in verse 3. This can be related to the sorrows or travailing that are going on right now as it is written in Mark 13:8.

    Mark 13:8
    8
    For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.

    Let's look at the word sorrows in the Strong's:

    5604 odin (o-deen');
    akin to 3601; a pang or throe, especially of childbirth:
    KJV-- pain, sorrow, travail.

    Rev.12:3
    3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.

    Now John is looking at the constellation of Draco, meaning the dragon cast down. We will learn in verse 9 of this same chapter just exactly who this dragon is. I believe these seven heads have several spiritual meanings. One representing the 7 continents of this world and the ten horns representing 10 kings. The following 2 verses are why I believe the way I do. Rev.17:9 and 12.

    Rev 17:9
    9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.

    Rev 17:12
    12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.

    Also you can say that the 7 heads could represent the 7000 fallen angels which are the anti-christ elect and the horns throughout the bible always represent power or strength.

    Rev.12:4
    4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

    This verse 4 says a lot. Number one it says Satan has drawn 1/3 of God's children away with his tails/tales. That tells me there was an earth age before this one where animals were flesh and man was in a spiritual body. We find bones of these animals all over the world. They are called dinosaurs. Some might think that I am digressing. To understand the rest of this verse you have to understand that Adam and Eve weren't eating apples in the garden. But that Eve was beguiled (completely seduced) by Satan and Cain was conceived. This was Satan's first attempt on God's children to pollute the blood-line of Christ family. If they did not have a pure blood-line the Messiah could not be born.

    If you would like more detail about
    "Beguiled" click here.

    Rev.12:5
    5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

    And she brought forth Jesus Christ, the Anointed One. And when HE comes back at the second-advent HE will rule with a rod of iron. He gave us an example of this when He went into the temple with a cat-nine-tails and beat the money changers and turned over their tables because they were using God's house for their own profit. Woe to those that use God's house to profit themselves. Below you find scripture from Old and New Testament that pretty much say the same thing we have read in verse 5. I myself being an iron worker can relate to this rod of iron.

    Ps 2:9
    9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.

    Rev 2:27
    27
    And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.

    Rev 19:15
    15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

    Rev.12:6
    6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

    Let us remember that Christ is returning for His bride. The woman in verse 6 is that bride. You will notice in this verse and the verse below we have the very same time period (note the days are the same for the woman as the days of the 2 witnesses will prophesy, 1260). The 2 witnesses and the 7000 of God's elect will stand against the anti-christ during his reign on earth. We spoke earlier of the 7000 that are Satans elect. For every positive there is an equal negative.

    Rev 11:3
    3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

    Rev.12:7
    7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

    Now wait a minute. I thought heaven was all peaceful with gold streets and harps playing. What is this war in heaven? Let's face it folks; Satan and his angels are in heaven and wherever they are there is turmoil. Just their spirits roaming here on earth causes war after war. And as Christians we should have our gospel armour on and fighting against evil. Whether it comes in the form of communism or whatever we should be standing up for what is right according to God's word. Do you have your gospel armour on and in place? Or do you wear a jet pack ready to fly out of here?

    Rev.12:8-9
    8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
    9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

    Ain't that great for those who are in heaven? But woe to us on earth! But woe only to those that do not have the seal of God in their forehead. Those that are versed in the word know that God has given us power over Satan and his locust army. Where can read about this?

    Luke 10:19-20
    19
    Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
    20
    Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

    Now we know by this verse that Michael and his angels has kicked out the dragon and the scorpions to the earth. I wonder if there is anywhere we can go in the word and find out what he is going to be doing while he is on earth. So let's go to our Father's word and see what we can find in II Thes.2:1-4

    II Thes.2:1-4
    1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
    2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
    3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
    4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

    So what we see by these verses is that before Christ returns the dragon, the serpent, ole slew-foot, Lucifer; who goes by many other names in the word and his angels are coming to the earth to play god. Since he is going to sit in the temple of God we can say that he is coming to Jerusalem to set up his own throne on the north side of Zion. The falling away spoken of in II Thes.2:3 is all the people who do not have the seal of God that are deceived by the lies of religion that will worship him as god. What lies of religion are we talking about? The rapture for one. Which teaches Gods children that before the anti-christ shows up they are going to put on wings and fly away. Because the anti-christ is coming to play Christ this is why they will be deceived. Is there anywhere in the word that God talks about teaching His children to fly to save their souls? Lets go Eze.13:18-20.

    Ezek 13:18-20
    18 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the women that sew pillows to all armholes, and make kerchiefs upon the head of every stature to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the souls of my people, and will ye save the souls alive that come unto you?
    19 And will ye pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that hear your lies?
    20 Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly.

    Rev.12:10
    10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

    The first part of this verse documents to me that once Satan is thrown out of heaven by Michael and his angels we have but a short season until the 7th trumpet blows. We can document this by going back to Rev. 9:10-13.

    Rev 9:10-13
    10 And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months.
    11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.
    12 One woe is past; and, behold, there come two woes more hereafter.
    13 And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,

    Let's take a closer look at the second part of Rev.12:10. I don't know about others but I was taught as child that Satan was a dude with a red suit, horns and pitch fork that lived in a lake of fire. He took great pleasure in that if you didn't do like God said to do he would throw you in that lake of fire to burn forever and ever. When I was a child I believed as a child. But by this verse we can see that Satan is in heaven, he has the face of God and can approach the throne to accuse the saints of God when they mess up. Thank God for the price he paid for our sins.

    Rev.12:11
    11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

    The election, saints, the bride and even brought forth in verse 13 of this same chapter as the woman will overcome the dragon because they know his M.O.. They know that their job (Mark 13:11) is to stand and not premeditate but to allow the Holy Spirit to speak through them. Even if it means to be crucified as Christ was. You know He did say take up your cross and follow me. Although Satan was instructed not to harm one hair of their head he will toward the end of his reign kill the 2 witnesses.

    Mark 13:11
    11
    But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.

    Rev.12:12
    12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

    This subject was covered in a previous verse. Satan has 5 months.

    Rev.12:13
    13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the manchild.

    Now here is the one we have power over, messing with the bruisers of God. Of course we know we have the victory! Read Luke 10:19-20.

    Rev. 12:14
    14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

    There is an analogy used in Deut. 32:9-11 that is "God is like unto a great eagle". Just as the eagle will even carry it's young and protect and nourish its young, God does likewise for His children. Also you should recognize Deut 32 as the song of Moses. To me the great eagle is the knowledge of our Father's word. By telling us what is going to happen long before it happens you are able to prepare yourself mentally (spiritually) to stand against the dragon.

    Rev. 12:15
    15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.

    Satan will try to drown the truth of our Father's word with the lies of his doctrine. Satan would be happy to get just one of the elect to bow a knee to him and commit the unforgivable sin. We don't believe that will happen.

    Rev. 12:16
    16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

    Since we know him for who he is we don't even get a sprinkling of his water on us. The living water repels it right off our gospel shells of armour.

    Rev. 12:17
    17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

    If you'll remember we started this chapter with Mother Israel and the great red dragon that wanted to kill the child. This takes us right back to where Satan beguiled Eve. He wanted to prevent the remnant of her seed from being born to stand against him. But he was unsuccessful. And since we have him angry at this point as warriors of Father's army we should understand that when we make our enemies angry they make mistakes. Ultimately we know his anger will build up to the point he kills the 2 witnesses. We know that when that happens we have only 3 ½ days till the return of our Savoir, Jesus Christ defacto! The prophesy of Genesis chapter 3:15 will be fulfilled. Since Satan and his children nailed the heels of Christ to the cross, Christ will thump that head and we will have victory through HIM!

    Gen 3:15
    15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

    We hope you have enjoyed this study as much as we have enjoyed bringing it to you. Get your armour out and shine it up. Sharpen the sword cause the time is near to go to war!
